About

More than a third of all Texas voters opted out of the two-party
system in the 2006 gubernatorial election. The mission of the

"Texas Independent Party"

is to help shape and promote the movement  of  "independent-minded"
voters of Texas by helping  transform the party into a viable 3rd party
 in Texas politics.

Our two main goals at the moment are becoming organized and becoming
better informed about the going-ons in our state legislature.

Both of these goals require your help.

While there are a number of  organizations that dabble in Texas politics, most if not all do so from a partisan standpoint.

It’s our hope that by taking a new approach to the Texas political system we can   foster a new approach to Texas politics

.
With that in mind, we’re looking for your help in making this site as
effective as possible.

To register your support for the Texas Independent Party and voice your opinion  in our political system, and to stay informed as to our next step in ensuring an equal playing field for independent politicians please visit our facebook page.

We don’t think the huge number of Texans who voted themselves away
from the two major parties this year represent the only people who’d
like to change politics in Texas.

Nor are we only looking for people who tend left, right, or moderate. The core belief of this project is  that every Texan is an independent at heart, and that together we can
win back our state.
